I was challenged to do a 7 day project on Twitter - posting 7 black and white pictures. The instructions were - to give no explanation. Also, no humans in the picture. Very cool. I decided to post the pictures here - but with an explanation.
The fog rolled had rolled in this morning. It was super thick at first. I wanted to take my morning walk, but I was a bit intimidated. I finally decided to stretch, get up and get out. The minute you start to walk through fog all the mystery is gone and you see what's on the other side. But when you look forward at a distance or behind at a distance - it looks like you are enveloped and blanketed by the fog.
I walked by my old high school and the field was really foggy. Now - I'm not that brave to go traipsing through the fog on a Sunday - through the high school. I didn't even like when I went there. But I did take a cool picture of it. I could hear voices on the other side. Someone was on the other side of the field - through that thick fog. I wonder if they could hear me. Well, I wasn't saying anything. But could they hear my footsteps? Oooooh.
I took the picture and headed home. It was a nice walk in the fog. I'm glad I did it. Fog has an interesting smell. Have you smelled it? I can't explain it. It's a damp smell.
I picked up my coffee this morning and the girl behind the counter said she did NOT like fog at all. I think it's cool. It's different. The city seemed cozy and mysterious. I liked it.
So here's the picture.
